Central County Occupational Center (CCOC) has seven career areas/clusters where students can explore and learn a technical skill that will lead them to higher education or into the workplace. Students attend half days at CCOC and half days at their home high school. Free-of-charge busing is available or students may drive or be transported by others.
CCOC is the premier career college opportunities center of Silicon Valley. CCOC is where eligible* junior and senior high school students get a jump-start on a college education, because students earning an "A" or "B" grade in most CCOC classes earn community college credit in addition to completing high school requirements. Some students choose to go directly into the workforce.
About Multimedia Design
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Learn all about computer graphics, animation , web publishing and design, audio and and video production from entry level to accomplished artist with the latest equipment and programs.
Multimedia uses computers to bring together text, sounds, animation, graphic art and video technology to educate, inform and entertain. Many experts believe that multimedia will fundamentally change the way people learn, communicate and entertain themselves in the future. It will do so by allowing the user to choose and customize how and what information he or she receives and when it is received. Unlike linear media such as film and video, users can interact with multimedia, directing the sequence, speed and other aspects of the presentation.
Multimedia is one of the fastest growing fields in the world, and the Silicon Valley is in the heart of this occupation. The Multimedia program at CCOC can provide you with the tools necessary to progress in this exciting field. Articulations with local colleges make this career choice even more attractive.
